from above

Rainy days filled with showers

brings on the flowers

Rainy days filled with splashes

thunder and lightening flashes

Rainy days filled with puddles

Fire Beneath the Wings

FIRE BENEATH THE WINGS

This fire that burns

Flames so hot

That scares me not

The flames so hot

A fire

Burning

Scorching

Sweltering

Searing

Around my body

Powerful

Controlling

Formidable

Feeling

Yet it is not burning

By body

The flames

Flickering

Dancing

Curling

Swirling

Elevating

Upraising

The flames

Through mind

Body and soul

A peaceful

Serenity

The stillness

Quietness

And the

Calmness

All around

Wings unfurled

Raised to the heavens

Golden, golden

Transparency

Transparently

Eyes fixed

To the sky

Golden stardust

Golden stars

As far as can be seen

Arms outstretched

This body

Transfixed

Mesmerized

Spellbound

Hypnotized

I cannot resist

Desist

Nor will I resist

Or desist

This powerful energy

This fire

Does no harm

Here I stand in

Complete

Composure

Poised

Sang-froid

Cool

Calm

Collected

And at peace

HOW DOES IT KEEP PACE WITH THE RACE

How can poetry keep it's pace with the rat race of today?
Are we still the writers still seeking the pace of the movement of the times that hallowed halls of history
Can we still be the best writers that the 21st Century has ever seen, the best to be seen

Bored

BORED

Bored out of my brains

Just like being on a train

Going nowhere

Driving me insane

Stuck in groove

Just don’t want to make a move

This standing still

Is this my will?

BORED

The house is done

The garden is done

Twiddling my thumbs

This must be undone

BORED

Well the shopping was fun

Not a lot going on there

Oh what despair!!!

BORED

I have my coffee

And oh yes the toffee

As well

Yawning

Boring

This is making me feel so tired

Oh this is oh so boring

BORED

Is so tedious

Dreary

Unexciting

Oh and the uninviting

How did this all become boring?

How did I get so bored?

Ummm!!!

A bit of investigating is needed

That is for sure

Oh no bored with that right now

Oh going to bed

Give it a rest

Another day lies ahead
