BUTTERFLY

BUTTERFLY
You fly on the wings
Graceful, elegant as time goes by
There is such beauty
That is conceivable so true
Convincingly so true
You never stop for one moment
Flitting, flying around
Just pausing for the nectar
Then fly off
To another distant place
Your life is short-lived
Summer comes around just once
And then you are gone
Leaving sweet memories
To reminice and miss
To astound us
Amaze and value we do
Sit and stay awhile
So that we may enjoy
The moment of bliss
And beauty

TOP 5TH FINALIST IN 'THE LOUDEST WHISPER' POETRY COMPETITION 2014
'A WARM GENTLE GLOW' made it into the Top Five finalists out of 65,000 entrants

A WARM GENTLE GLOW
The soft lingering flame shining
The warming glow radiating
Like the summers sun
Reminders of day’s carefree days
Lazing by the riverside
The walks in the park
A lover’s stroll hand in hand
The joy and bliss of that sweet, sweet kiss
The warm gentle glow diverging
Rippling, flowing like a wave on water
Spreading to the outer atmosphere
Diffusing, strewing
Like there is something magical, mystical floating in the air
Come, spring, summer, autumn and winter
There will always be
A Warm Gentle Glow
