PURE HEART

PURE HEART
Unadulterated
So pure
So clean
Untouched
By human hands
Uncontaminated
Not corrupted
Pure and simple
Truthfully
Giving and receiving
Love the intention
Love so unconditional
Love be the way of life
Love that holds no binds
Love that keeps us alive
Unpolluted
Fresh as the morning dew
Clean and clear
Running and cleansing
Like the river so clear
And clean
Simply pure
Vibrant
Distinct from all that is
Uniqueness
Individualistic
A rareness that is with us all
The little waves
Creating ripples
In all directions
The North
The South
The West
The East
The Moon
The Stars
The Life of all things
And beings
A heart that beats
Continually

LOATHE BEING YOUR MISTAKE (new poem)

LOATHE BEING YOUR MISTAKE
When all I thought was it was give and take
Oh how wrong I was!
Can see it all now
You kept taking
And left me forsaken
Oh this mean, mean life
When I now see your strife
And where you played with the devil
Devil, devilish
I’ll get over you!
The summer won’t be too long
It’ll make me strong, stronger
I’ll have hopefully shed all my tears
No one told me
I’ve forgiven myself
For feeling, falling for you
Now this rose is drooping
Drooping, drooping
I believed you!
How your words were so true
Now they lay so stale
Drove me almost insane
I believed you
And here I sit still feeling the fool
When you touched me it felt so real
You were all I needed, wanted
When I used to close these eyes
It seemed all surreal
Now it is so, so untrue
Through and through
I’ll see each day through
I know loving you was true
But here I sit
Sit, sit
Feeling like shit!
Yet still in love with you
I know what is right and wrong
And now you are gone
No backwards glance
Just your evil trance
And your stance
The time and space
In time will erase
I looked into your eyes
You sure know how to disguise
Boy oh boy
You’ll regret it!
It’ll come back to you
Someday, someday
Until then this fool
Will make it
I’ll fight this to the end
All I see is the truth now!
Whoa, whoa
Maybe you were my mistake
And all the answers have become clear
This lady will keep moving
Moving, moving
Away from you!
You’ll never know
That I was the best
Lest you forget
You’ll never understand
You’ll never comprehend
That one day I’ll be in demand
You’ll keep wondering, pondering
What you have left!
But boy oh boy
It looks like nothing right now!
An empty shell
Left upon the shelf
You’ll be a once was memory
And heaven will heal this heart
And lead me to my paradise
And not someone who took me as their mistake

LIVING LIFE ON THE EDGE

LIVING LIFE ON THE EDGE
Looking out to the horizons threshold
Holding what is so dear, and clear
The rainbows may not be showy
The clouds yet to be clear
The waves a pounding
Pounding like this heart
But right now it is a broken and battered one
My very existence with faith is now being questioned
But I do not want to question it
Because it fits
It is not a fits and starts
It’ll never leave my heart
It is deep rooted
Deep seated
But today I’m questioning
Where I need to go from here
Time to reflect
Yet not reject
My true meaning and path
My true purpose
My real reason and reasons
Without trying to reason
It is not the time or place
The time and place will be within
This jagged, ragged rock
Will be my stabilizing rock
Through troubled times
Through happy times
Through my entire life’s times

ECHOS

ECHOS
Echoes of an
Ancient land
Wide
Wild
And free
As far as the
Eye can see
The Rockies
The mountains
The air that is clean
Sunrises
And sunsets
Spent in the wild
Campfire
Warming
Glowing
In the sun setting
Sky
Keeping two
Ancient residents
Warm
From their day
Of roaming free
In this vast land
Where once
It was all free
Shadowy figures
Of two spirit wolves
Watching
Guarding
Our ancient residents
From harm
Looking outwards
To this distant land
Guardians
Sentinels
Together
As one

AS I LAY ME DOWN UPON THIS EARTH

AS I LAY ME DOWN
UPON THIS EARTH

The cold, cold earth
With a candle to light
The way onto this
Planet Earth

I feel no fear
As you are near
On this cold, cold earth
Wings spread span
And girth

I see the campsite
Down in the valley
So near
And clear

I am too tired
And need to rest
On this cold, cold
Earth

I just need to fly
Let my spirit free
Over the top of the trees
And the valley’s below
Follow the river
That leads me to home

I’m so cold
I want to be held
In the comfort
Of family
It is so cold, cold
Laying here on this earth

Tomorrow will come
A new bright, shiny day
All feelings of this cold
Cold earth will cease
With the warmth
From the suns
Warming rays
