THIS WORLD

THIS WORLD
Round it maybe
This world so carefree
Its richness
Its diversity
Beauty
Glory
All around us
There is a reality to this beauty
 A Harsh and cruel
Crude
Rough around the edges
Like cliff ledges
Jagged
Serrated
Like a knife
In this life
Rough and ready
Certainly unsteady
Shaky
Wobbly
On this earth’s axis
Teetering on the edge
Precariously
Slippery
Sliding
Crossing and tossing
Twisting and turning
Insides a churning
Burning
What beauty can protect us?
Shield us
Defend us
Safeguard us
The love of family
Friends
These we can all depend
There at a moment’s notice
A warm embrace
A smiling face
A gentle hand touching
Stroking
Evoking
A sense of feelings
Lost in time and space
Erasing
All fears and tears
In just that one moment in time
