THE POWER AND THE MIGHT

THE POWER AND THE MIGHT
Fly; fly with all your might
Take flight
Spread those wings
Across the winds
Across the miles
Across the skies
The winds and the rains
The snow and sleet
The roaring, soaring
Seering  sun
That melts the coldest of days
The dampness, that lingers on
The moon lit night showing the way
The starry way guiding with the path way
So far away
Free as your feathers and wings that carry you
All the way through
Your spirit calling
Strong and powerful
Yet full of beauty
Essense, finesse
Let them wings unfurl

A ROSE A LIGHT IN THE DARK

A ROSE A LIGHT IN THE DARK

That still shines
Lusters
Gleams
Twinkles
There within the darkness
It is there for us to see
But there is a tragedy
Behind its beauty lies
Lies
Falsehoods
Untruths
Fictions
That government
Presidents
Prime ministers
Get us to believe
They try to white wash
What is so real
Their corruptions
Disruptions
To our own democracy
Taking away the freedom
Of speech
Taking our rights
Our Human Rights
Governments
Cutting our wages
The way of our world
The very survival of us all
Every man, woman and child
Is it any wonder that there is so much poverty!!!
Not just in the third world
This world
Supposedly the New World
Everyone scrabbling
Groping
Fumbling
Rummaging
Around just to put the food on their tables
Pay their way in this world
Struggling
Scratching
Clutching at the hope straws
That something one day will come good
From all that is bad
The hopes that they gave us
The promises that they made to us
Everyone broken
Shattered
Like shards of glass
The hurt
The agony
Feel like going insane
The contamination
Of our vital resources
OUR WATER
The essences of life
The giver of life
A life without water
Dehydration
Desiccation
The water in rivers
Flowing with a stench
Making us wretch
The back log from the sewers
Frothing and foaming
Killing
Destroying
Everything in its path
The deluge of waste
The fertilizers
Used by the farmers
Seeping through the earth
Down
Down
Down
Into the streams
And rivers
No longer a habitat
For the birds and the bees
The ducks
The fish
Their habitat
A KILLING FIELD
GOVERNMENTS DENYING
Ignoring
Not worth their time and effort
Sure if it was them that was affected
Then they would do something about it
Instead burying their heads in the sands
Just like the Ostrich
JUST DO NOT WANT TO KNOW
We are nothing
Just them
BUT GUESS WHAT
They need us
To their
BITTER SWEET ENDS
WE CAN OUST THEM
THROW THEM OUT
WE ARE THE VOICES
WE DO THE WALKING
And if it takes time then we know we can win
We will fight
Put up a fight
And not our
BITTER SWEET ENDS

HERE AND THERE

HERE AND THERE
You are here, there and everywhere
With so much care
A love that resides
Always by my sides
You reside
The upside
The downside
So encouraging
Discouraging?
Never judging, judemental
Fear not!
She our mother has the lot!
You have that look that says
‘you’ll find out’
Oh don’t we find out!
The unconditional love
From way above
Still cannot fathom that out?
Your life is abound
You florish
 Never Embellish
Your beauty is adorned
The world over
There is only one you!
A mother to many
Oh and by the way mother to me
Your strength in times of weakness
Your empathy, compassion
Timeless, ageless
Immortal
Undying, enduring
A rose without the thorn
Blossoming time and time again
Captured but free
Free to be the mother to me
Love unconditional is always to you
