A NEW BEGINNING - Taken from the book of poems (c) Pure Essence Within

A NEW BEGINNING
Opening the book
To pastures green
Green and lush
With so much to write
And so much to see
And hear
Maybe
The beginning
The place
The time
The here and now
I feel like dancing
Pirouetting, twisting and turning
Like a ballerina
With wings to fly
Just like
The butterfly
Floating so high
In the sky
Then rest by the brook
That is
Weaving
Winding
Meandering
Through the pages
Of the new book
Refreshing
Regenerating
The old
Into new life

Springtime
New lifetime
The time
For new growth
And energy
Turning the bare
Branches into lush
New green leaves
Reaching high
Up to the sky
Now is the time
To write the new book
Whilst sitting here
By the brook

FOREVER BY MY SIDE

FOREVER BY MY SIDE
Here I sit
Trying to compose
Something so real and so true
That heaven made you for me
To sit by my side

It must have been hard to leave heaven’s door
To be with me forever more
What more can I say that hasn’t been said before?
I love unconditionally like no one has ever done
As your love for me is heaven sent

Whilst I am away from home
Or spending time with friends
I know that you are not so far away
Watching, guarding and   protecting in every way

I always feel your presence
It feels so warm and reassuring
Like a warm log fire burning
Glowing bright that shines in the night
My angel all through the day and sweet night

Each and every night I say a prayer
Of thanks for a wonderful day
That your presence has made
And how thankful that I am for you
Chasing away any fears, tears
Worries that I have spoken of during the day

My angel by my side
Thank you for being here
By my side

THE DEVILS CLAW

THE DEVILS CLAW
Is this the hand of future fate?
Or are you just the devils claw?
And nothing more
You are nothing but the
Darker side of me
That makes me cold
And raw

This time I am fighting back
This claw is my mistake
Taking back that once was mine
Life of so divine
Not yours
Devils claw

You can scream and shout
Right out loud
But I have the claws
Right here and now
The one to defend
And amend
Until the sweetest end

This shield of old
Stories untold
Battles won and
Battles lost
I am ready once again
To throw it right at you

I see my light
Shining bright
Blinding with truth
I’m putting up the fight
With all my might
My destiny
And fate

THERE IS NO BEAUTY WITH KNIVES (new poem)

THERE IS NO BEAUTY WITH KNIVES
There is no beauty in knives
They destroy lives
They destroy families
They destroy communities
The fire and desire
The hatred and debate
The debates must end
The actions must now be taken
Imprisonment kind of works
But that is a place where they worship evil intent
Intent on the innocent
The innocent bystander and bystanders
Going about their own business and businesses
You swing them to the left and right
Scaring innocence, innocent with fright
They try with all their might
To stop you!
But you are determined
You are strong-minded
Unwavering
Single-minded
You are unswerving
You are obsessed
Possessed
You are resolute
You want the finale
The lost lives
The injured lives
But we try and stand strong
Strong-willed
Unswerving
We try not live in fear
But we shed many tears
What is going through your minds?
Hell bent on scoring a score?
Well it will be your undone
When we have won
And you are no longer one
Your time is coming
It is just a matter of timing
When we cheer so loudly
Not proudly
Just that justice will be done
