STARTS WITH A GLIMMER

STARTS WITH A GLIMMER
Shimmering
Gleaming
Shining
Slowly
Then burst into light
Orbs
Flashes
Streaks
Rippling
Into bubbles of light
Enlarging
Growing
Lifting
Rising, rising
Higher and higher
Way beyond
The outer limits
The sky is not the limit
Lighting
The North
The South
The East
The West
Electric Blue
Purple
White
Seeping out
Streaming out
Oozing out
Escaping out
Spreading its light for you and I
Always
Ever
Eternal
Existence

DESOLATE

 DESOLATE
Empty spaces
Too many of them
This time
Right now
Just isn’t right
Right now I need this place
Quietness, stillness
It may seem stark
Sand, sand everywhere
Bare, naked, stripped
Of any good
So fits this mood
Solitude
Silence
Is all around me
Not a whisper
Just a gentle breeze
Frozen to the spot
Shadows
Echoing my dark feelings
Round and round I go
Walking aimlessly
Round and round
Ever increasing circle
Alone with my thoughts
Crazy mixed up feelings
Blue, blue
Trying so hard to chase
Them away
Blue, blue hues
Misty moon a gathering
Misty eyes, gloomy eyes, dark, dark eyes
Sleep, sleep, and please come to me!
These shadows won’t go away
You are in my weary, exhausted mind
Clouding, blurring, confusing my thoughts
Burrowing deeper and deeper
 I can no longer escape
Tomorrow is the day
Face it, face it!
It is not going away
Fear is not with me
It is the voice
Telling me what to do
When I know I shouldn’t
Keep running away

MY REFLECTION LOOKING BACK AT ME

MY REFLECTION LOOKING BACK AT ME
This wolf that is in the water
He keeps looking at me
This wolf that is in the water
Is a reflection of what I used to be!
Roaming free and being me
This wolf that is in the water
Has no family
He has only me
This wolf that is in the water
Is not crying or making a sound
He is not yet condemned or bound
This wolf in the water will not drown
This wolf in the water
Is happy to be
Where he can see
All that is forever, whatever will be
The wolf looking down on the wolf in the water
Wants to know how this all can be?
It is not me in the water
I only came to sip up the water
But I am glad to see
The wolf in the water
Who looks just like me!

SUNRISE SUNSET

SUNRISE SUNSET
The cycle of life
And all that exists
Between man and beast
Who try to co-exist

SUNRISE
The beginning of a new day
In every single way
Dawning of new ventures
Endeavors
Adventures
Along this high way
For this is the way
For these two
In some ways
Searching
Looking
For their own place to be
Free at liberty
From mans
Authority
SUNSET
The beginnings of the end of the day
The sun shining in all its glory
Lighting up the sky
With hues of orange, yellow and brown
Did these two find their glory
At then end of this day?
Away from man’s authority
They stand like sentinels
Upon a misty hill
Looking yonder
Wonder
Pondering
Is this what life is
And destiny
Passing between the here and now

May they find the hope
And a faith that all will be well
And that no man
Will haunt them along
This highway
Of life
