SNUZZLES (funny poem)

SNUZZLES
I love you lots
Cos you mean lots
We are brother
And sister
We play around lots
Climbing up the curtains
And
Scratching lots
The two legs
Don’t like it a lot
But they are stuck with us now
They wanted two sweet kittens
To keep them company
Sit on their laps
On their bed
On their head
And shoulders
They keep us well fed
With a lovely warm bed
Right by the fireside
Cozy and warm
They like seeing us playing
And pretend fighting
But when we nuzzle like this
They go all coooeeeee
And silly softeeee
Saying silly things like
O aren’t they cute
Adorable
Delightful
And all that stuff
Little do they know!
That we love them so
As well
So let’s keep nuzzling
Just for the show
Oh by the way your nose is cold

BUTTERFLY WINGS

BUTTER FLY WINGS
You are my butterfly
Spirit guide
Graceful, elegant, translucent
Radiating a lustrous
Colours of the rainbow
So divine so beautiful so loving
Guiding me through
My own personal transformations
The tiny chrysalis of darkness
Incubation, maturation
My wings stretching and groaning
An emergence as I come out of this cocoon
That has shielded, kept me safe and warm
Never wanting to wander, spread these wings
Fly as high as the sky
Kept myself on the high and dry
Firmly on the ground
Flitting from one thing to another never settling
Ever wandering
A butterfly scared to fly and say goodbye
You are my butterfly guide I love you so
Much more than you know
Here I see a beautiful world
Full of colours
Pinks, reds, blues, yellows
All the colours of the rainbow
Being the colours of choice
Blue the colour of the sky
Yellow the brightness of the sun
Heavenly divine
I feel your gentle breeze
Floating and flitting
Around my ears and hair
Showing me the light
The brightness of the sky above
A message to slow down and enjoy life
Right here right now
I sit in the stillness by the river
Listening watching for the signs
The visions that may come to mind
You’re with me
Here right now silence not one sound
The peace and tranquillity
This space is revealing
Just time to sit and be still
Breath and sigh let it float by
Way up to the sky
On the wings of an angel
Who has been sitting here by my side!
With total unconditional love and devotion

FLAMES A GLOWING

FLAMES A GLOWING
The flames a glowing
Ablaze
Sparks rising in the air
Flickering
Sparks a glow
Fire burning hot
Orange
Gold
Yellow
Like an inferno
Funeral pyre
Firestorm
Without the rage
Anger
Wrath
The flames so high
Burning with a desire
A memento
A remembrance
A tribute
A commemoration
To their once Alpha King
His spirit lives on
His soul
His essence
His life-force
The atmosphere that was brought to the pack
Compassion
Personality
His leadership
Control
Guidance
Governance
Assured his supremacy
Authority
Power
And domination
Over the pack
He is missed
Kith and kin
Brothers and sisters
Mourn their loss
But he will never be forgotten
They may howl and howl
But his world is elsewhere
His light will shine forever
Casting it out so that it can be seen
And never forgotten
His spirit lives on
With those of the pack
His family

INQUISITIVE

INQUISITIVE
With an inquisitive mind
And an inquisitive nose
Everything is new
Fresh
With the mornings dew
Exploring
The territory
Discovering all is new
Travelling along with his nose to the ground
Sniffing, smelling, sensing
Those footsteps have trodden on this ground
Suspecting
It could be another just like them
But not of the pack that he belongs too
A stranger, a wanderer, a visitor
Just passing through
Seeking shelter
A place to rest for the night
Until the morning light
Your senses are honed
Sharpened, refined, perfected
For all sights and sounds
Even the smallest of creatures
Never passes you by
Curious
Of the fluttering of the butterfly
Resting
Reposing
On the daisy’s leaf
Eyes agog
Ears forward
Is it going to jump?
Or fly at you?
Watching and waiting
At the ready
Inquisitive
