#ASMSG What's going on with your hat today?

What’s going on with your hat today?
Taken from the book of poems
‘Simply Magical’

Is there quietness?
Stillness?
Or busy bees?
Whichever way you look at it today
There is something happening far away
The butterflies flying this way and that way
Dancing in happiness on this summer’s day
The flowers in bloom have chased the gloom
Picnics in the parks, oh what larks
The riders on their bikes in the park
Chatting and laughing
On this summer’s day
Winter has gone far, far away
They hay is being reaped, all hands gathering
The children playing amongst the daisies
Princesses with their tiara chains
Parasols shading from the heat of the day
The sun is at its highest and hottest
Walking serenely through the sweet, sweet lavender
Meadow
Cornflowers, sunflowers
The sky rich and blue
Cloudless especially for you

#ASMSG #KKST THE FREEZING WINTER part four

THE FREEZING WINTER
This place so battered and forlorn
The battles won and lost
At much cost
This world now abandoned
Forsaken
Deserted
By the people of the land
Scattered across the spanses
Was all that mattered!
Still does matter
They have lost their homes
Their lands far and wide
The mass destruction
Of the terrorists that roamed
And pillaged
Their dejection
On the face of the young warrior
He stands at the ready
Sword in his hand
Raven flying, flying above
Watching, watching
With eyes finely honed
Never daring to take his eyes of his friend
But watching around
For dangers, perils that might come to sight
His friend knows
He will let him know
The warriors guardian, protector
Right by his side
Ears pitched
Eyes slanting
Eyes so red, red
Bloodshot
Inflamed
Fuelled
His emotions showing
Glowing
There will be no one get past him
He will endeavour
He will labour
Belabour
All who try to get past his friend and companion
They travel along this treacherous
Road side by side
Now and forever

#ASMSG #KKST THE FINAL FRONTIER? part three

THE FINAL FRONTIER?
Is this end of their battles?
Or the beginning
Here they both stand and look
The man wondering, pondering
Was it all worth it?
Can this be the end?
This precipice below
Dark, dark
Their road and path that has been walked upon
Fought upon
Struggled upon
Battled upon
The attacks
The confrontations, the challenges
The opposition opposing
Never letting his guard down
Ready and waiting
The rook on his shoulder
Eyeing the territory before them
His eyes honed toned
To perfection
The warrior’s eyes
Constantly on the lookout
The white wolf
The warriors constant
Guardian
Loyal
True
Looking down into the precipice
Where his master
His alpha male
Won so many arduous battles
But here is still standing
Strong and firm
Solid
With his reinforcements in the background
Ready and waiting
Man and beast together as one

#ASMSG #KKST BATTLES TO BE WON OR LOST part two

BATTLES TO BE WON
OR LOST
So many battles right on this land
This cold, cold terrain
Jagged mountains
Ragged
Tattered
And torn
Rough
Crude
Raw
Icy cold winds
Howling around every crevice
Every corner
Shaft
Cranny
Harshest of conditions
For any man or beast
But here at least
Man and beast
Come together
In their own causes
The Raven
His magical, mystical senses
Sensing there is an auspicious time ahead
Not to be afraid to move forward
Move with power and strength
Yet know when to stop and take stock
Of all the limitations ahead
Think before taking another stop
WOLF
His eyes staring
Glaring
What is before them!!!
Ears honed
Tuned
Sharpened
Listening
Pointed to their limits
His eyes
Eyeing the way ahead
The hazards
The dangers
The threats
His master is facing
He will not let his master
Fall prey to the enemy
He will guard
He will protect
He will stand his ground
Stand firm
Stand solid
Right by his masters side
Shielding
Be his shield
In the face of the foe
His destiny
His fate
Come what may
He is his master’s friend
 Companion
Confidante
To their days ends

#ASMSG #KKST ON A MISSION part one

ON A MISSION
A mission that needs movement
A mission to be fought with might
A fight to the end
Warriors bend
Every corner taken
Every corner travelling
Every corner never knowing
If the truth unbends
If the lies are well hidden
In the slippery bends
They must travel this road with its bends
Fighting the cause to the ends
Warriors
Fighters
Guardians
Fighting against the darkness
The gloom
And doom
They must travel
Near and far
Never wondering
Never questioning
Never pondering
Just go into the fight
With might
Power
With all the forces
Valor
Weapons at the ready
Warding off the predators
From the darkness
Chasing them to the end
Out into the light
This they can depend
The raven
Bringing enlightenment
Truth and justice
The wolf
The warrior’s guardian
Protector
Ears pricked and pointed backwards
A warning
Snarling his teeth
As a warning
Come any closer to my prince
Of the light
I will defend
He can depend
So they travel around the bends
Ever alert
Watchful
Prepared
At the ready

#ASMSG These Eyes You See

THESE EYES YOU SEE
Looking straight back at you
Green
Glassy
Gleaming
Glossy
Lustrous
But
Not green of envy
Emerald
Sharp
Piercing
Focused
Concentrated
Right on you
Right this second
Whilst you are reading this
Poem
Hypnotizing
Spellbinding
Captivating
With just one
Glance
Maybe you want to move your
Eyes away
Stray
From side to side
But these eyes of mine
 Will keep you coming back
For more
And more
A shadowy silhouette
Contours of my face
Illuminated
From the light below
Eyes
Eyes
At the ready
To fly at you
With a flight of feathers
Gleaming
Luminous
Hues
Fantasy
Fiction
Or is this just a dream?
A mental image
In your mind

#ASMSG An Extract from 'THE WISHING WELL'

Deep within the countryside where fields are a plenty. The fields are being ploughed in readiness for planting crops, corn, wheat, vegetables and sugar beet. With their heads bowed down the shires plough on pulling the heavy steel digger, turning the ground over and over. Their handler steering them into a straight line from top to bottom of the field and then back down again, their toils are endless until the day’s work is over. They work from dawn to dusk, but at their day’s end there is the chance to be unharnessed and run wild in the nearby field, free to rest, sleep, eat and be groomed.
At the bottom of this field runs a brook, gently flowing, rippling over the pebbles that lay beneath the surface and in amongst the reeds, lilies on the brooks banks, if you look very quietly, silently there can be seen smallish fish like the stickleback, carp that thrive in the rivers stream. There is a flicker of life the insects coming to life from their winter’s hibernation. Time is time to feed and grow; soon it will be time for the dragonflies, the butterflies, coming out of the cocoons  a myriad of colours will adorn the countryside once again, If only for a fleeting moment during the summer months. The swans are making their nests on the rivers grassy plains, just a short distance from the stream; the ducks are now making their familiar noises quack quacking to each other. Is this their way of greeting each other?
