SAIL AWAY (children's poem)

SAIL AWAY
Simply sail away so far away
To the seas far and wide
Oceans new and old
Simply sail away on a crest of a wave
Waving all your worries, trouble way behind
Simply sailing away with the moon lit night
Golden, simply a one-off
It is a guiding light shining so bright
Mystifying, magical, mythical
Alluring, hypnotising, enticing
Fair maidens from a mystical world
Watching, guarding your sailing away
The heavens adorned with rippling
Myriads of colours
Azure blue, oh what a wonderful hue
The moon lit night revealing the wondrous
Colours of the sea
Golden yellow, azure blue
And the emerald greens for all to be seen
The fair maidens sounding the sea shells
Oh such wondrous colours
Oh what a wondrous sight
Bringing much delight
To the weathered minds, bodies and souls
Of the sails men, sea men, of the tall ships sailing simply away

BALL OF LIGHT

BALL OF LIGHT
This power of light
That you hold in your hands
Can bring miracles
Bring light to the dark
Powerful
Magnetic
Drawing you through
With all its might
Force
Its speed
Potency of strength
Magnitude of size
Weightless
Flightless
Terrestrial
Spherical
Crystal clear
Illumination
Vibrant
Pulsating with energy
Take it
Use it
For all its worth
For the goodness
It’s made for

THE FIRE AND THE PASSION (updated poem)

THE FIRE
AND THE PASSION

This fire that is burning within my heart
A passion
A vision
That I can’t,
And won’t let go
A burning desire
In full flow
Bursting
Beating
With the rhythm of the drum
Louder and louder
Like it is going
To explode
Bursting right out
In every direction
This dream is not going
Up in smoke
It is a fire that is bespoke
It is made, it is tailored
Tailor made
For you heart
My love and heart
In the very hope that it never will depart
I have this vision
Yes a vision
For you and I
Gentle as the feather that blow in the wind
The fire that never scorches the feathers that is willowy and soft
Their gentleness that will touch you heart
The fire that will stoke your passions
The fire that will exude your love for me and you
The tenderness so soft that sends shivers up and down my spine
This fire that exudes my love always for you
The tenderness from me always to you
This fire that will always emanate
A fire that the world will know
So my love and in a hope that you will read this
I shall be waiting for you

THE SOURCE OF YOUR OWN LIGHT

THE SOURCE OF YOUR OWN LIGHT
And strength

We are all strong and wise
We are powerful with much compromise
Concession
Cooperation
Negotiation
Making allowances
For others not so strong and wise
This light that we possess
Own
Hold
Retain
And have acquired
Obtained
Attained
Is so secure
Sheltered
Fastened
Locked
Within us all
A light that has been given
With love
Trust
Faith
Hope
Conviction
Expectation
That we share our light
And our strength
Wherever
Anywhere
Anyplace
Whenever
Every time
Each time
That the need is there to be shared
Shine the light
Right from the top of us
Out to the world

YOU HAVE THE POWER (award winning poem of 2013)

YOU HAVE THE POWER
TO BREAK THROUGH

For so long you had this power over me
The hurt, the pain and agony
That power that had
Such a powerful
Vice like grip
Pulling me down and down

This power that you had over me
Was dug so, so deep within me
Leaving me helpless, weak
With no defenses
Never letting me be

This power that you held over me
Had me running scared literally
You just didn’t care
How much it hurt
Treated me like a piece of dirt

But guess who’s fighting back?
And you just don’t like it back
Tough luck
Now you are powerless
The one with all the mouth
And now no guts
I’m pushing through this
Thing that’s called power
But not your way
Anymore

Even though this power
Has a strong, strong
Vice like grip
It’s a power I cannot
Desist, resist
The power to walk
To talk
Hold my head higher
Now your power has gone
It’s been far too long

I now have the power
One big, huge power
A burning power
To break through
Anything

LIVING LIFE ON THE EDGE (Taken from the album 'Thoughts on Life)

LIVING LIFE ON THE EDGE
Looking out to the horizons threshold
Holding what is so dear, and clear
The rainbows may not be showy
The clouds yet to be clear
The waves a pounding
Pounding like this heart
But right now it is a broken and battered one
My very existence with faith is now being questioned
But I do not want to question it
Because it fits
It is not a fits and starts
It’ll never leave my heart
It is deep rooted
Deep seated
But today I’m questioning
Where I need to go from here
Time to reflect
Yet not reject
My true meaning and path
My true purpose
My real reason and reasons
Without trying to reason
It is not the time or place
The time and place will be within
This jagged, ragged rock
Will be my stabilizing rock
Through troubled times
Through happy times
Through my entire life’s times
