CHAOS AND CONFUSION (updated)

CHAOS AND CONFUSION

All around is chaos

Confusion

Devastation

Destruction

Whirling

Swirling

Like a tornado

Destroying everything in its path

Sheltering

Can be hard

Nowhere is safe and sound

Panic sets in

Pandemonium, I hear screaming

The screeching sounds of people

Running away from everywhere

The devastation is all around

Whipping up all in its path

Metal on metal

The oceans

Whipping up a torrent

Waves pounding the land as far as the eye can see

Thrashing rain

Flooding the land before me

Gushing like a broken dam

In towards the land

Destroying buildings in its path

Destroying lives that are strewn on the shore line

Is there nowhere safe?

On this Mother Earths land?

Is this her anger?

Her outrage

Our calling

Our wakeup call

I feel stranded

Isolated from her land of hopes and dreams

Marooned whilst this storm rages on

And on all around me

Here we both are soaking

Drenched

Cold and damp

Watching and waiting

For this raging storm

To abate
