SEA SHELL ON THE SEA SHORE

SEA SHELL ON THE SEA SHORE
On a golden beach there lay one day
The sun was shining brightly
The rippling waves sprightly
Ebbing and flowing, backwards and forwards
But there before her eyes
There on the seashore a wondrous
Beautiful, exquisite and the biggest ever sea shell
Its shape is like a cone, like an ice cream cone
Opulent, magnificent with sumptuous colours
Pink, blue, purple hues
But as she steps closer she can see her reflection
Her own self staring back at her, she takes a peek inside
And to her surprise there before her eyes she also sees
The trees that are behind her
The shimmering skyline above
But the very best of all that cannot be seen by her eyes
Is a magnificent rainbow, so lavish in colours it has taken her breath away, she sighs at the sight so bright, and then asks herself?
“Why is this so? Is this magic beyond our control? It is not there in the sky so high, but here it is a memory to keep and treasure always”
The fair lady does not want to leave, she wants to take it home and show her family, she cannot find away and way. So instead she admires and takes in all the colours so wondrously lavish, a memory for always and ever and ever.

THESE EYES YOU SEE

THESE EYES YOU SEE
Looking straight back at you
Green
Glassy
Gleaming
Glossy
Lustrous
But
Not green of envy
Emerald
Sharp
Piercing
Focused
Concentrated
Right on you
Right this second
Whilst you are reading this
Poem
Hypnotizing
Spellbinding
Captivating
With just one
Glance
Maybe you want to move your
Eyes away
Stray
From side to side
But these eyes of mine
 Will keep you coming back
For more
And more
A shadowy silhouette
Contours of my face
Illuminated
From the light below
Eyes
Eyes
At the ready
To fly at you
With a flight of feathers
Gleaming
Luminous
Hues
Fantasy
Fiction
Or is this just a dream?
A mental image
In your mind

STICK THEM UP (Tuesday Funny poem)

STICK THEM UP

Stick them up
Oh give it a break
For goodness sake
You always want to fight
It is not right
You are bully at times
And frighten me at times
I may be scrawny
But I sure aren’t weak
But by heck
You’re going to get it
Oh by the way its
Sunday
No fighting day
Just a rest day
Fun day
Cos mum is watching
And look out if she sees
You with those fists
Stuck up!
What is your problem?
Brother?
You are always such a bother
Just go and leave me alone
And pick on someone else
Or better still don’t!
That causes more trouble
And that isn’t worth it
Right now
