IT’S A LONG SHOT

But it’s all that I have got

Whilst sat here

With these fears and tears

You left a while

A long, long while

You left without a word

Not a word!

You left leaving me in tears

You left a ghost

As a host

Clinging, singing

Loudly ringing

The deafening sounds

Oh they are all around

I just wanted to let you know

Without all the show

Let all these feelings go

I just cant sleep

I just cant eat

My feelings are never in turmoil

They run so, so deep

Is it so wrong

For so long 

To keep them hidden

Hidden deep?

When all I needed to hear

Is that you are for keeps

not just as your friend

but as your lover

under the covers
