BATTLES TO BE WON
OR LOST
So many battles right on this land
This cold, cold terrain
Jagged mountains
Ragged
Tattered
And torn
Rough
Crude
Raw
Icy cold winds
Howling around every crevice
Every corner
Shaft
Cranny
Harshest of conditions
For any man or beast
But here at least
Man and beast
Come together
In their own causes
The Raven
His magical, mystical senses
Sensing there is an auspicious time ahead
Not to be afraid to move forward
Move with power and strength
Yet know when to stop and take stock
Of all the limitations ahead
Think before taking another stop
WOLF
His eyes staring
Glaring
What is before them!!!
Ears honed
Tuned
Sharpened
Listening
Pointed to their limits
His eyes
Eyeing the way ahead
The hazards
The dangers
The threats
His master is facing
He will not let his master
Fall prey to the enemy
He will guard
He will protect
He will stand his ground
Stand firm
Stand solid
Right by his masters side
Shielding
Be his shield
In the face of the foe
His destiny
His fate
Come what may
He is his master’s friend
Companion
Confidante
To their days ends
