#ASMSG SLIPPING AND SLIDING

Poem taken from ‘Follow Your Dreams’
SLIPPING AND SLIDING

I’ve slipped, slided from side to side
This slippery downward road
The falls and trips
The sarcastic quips
The jokes and the pokes
The lies and deceits
Oh stop the repeats
The tangled, knotted web that has had me caught
Fraught
But now there is a quiver, a tiny shiver emerging
From within this soul
Quiet, silent, emergence
An appearance of wings so wonderfully surfacing
Wings to fly to say goodbye
Wings to get out of the entanglement
Entrapment
From the black, black widow spider
