AND WON’T ANY MORE

Nothing has changed

You didn’t, you never loved me!

I heard it in the wind

Just that one voice there in the dam darkness

A shadowy voice

Yes a dark, dark voice

That should have been a warning

To let it go, ignore it

What changed you?

Or is that you have never changed?

It has been like this since time immortal

Walking the line

Between the darkness and light

Never deciding which one to choose

But I have been watching

Observing

Taking it all in

The visions, the insights, the warnings too

So dam stupid of me ignoring them

I DID

AND I DON’T

AND WON’T

ANYMORE

The score card has been scored

There is no level pegging no more

No one has lost

And no one has gained

No more pain remains

The anger has gone

You thought that I was still weak

You sure got that wrong

You made the biggest mistake

This time not me!

Just take one look

One long, long look

And you have never noticed

Taken note

But you just didn’t believe it

No she is still weak

But then the inevitable happened

I took that long, long look

Remembered the old

And what happened back then

And came to the conclusion

There is no way back to then
