FORGIVENESS

FORGIVENESS
Forgiving anyone can be the hardest thing to do when things go wrong
1.    The hurt
2.    The pain
3.    The turmoil
4.    The injustice
5.    The immorality
6.    The lying
7.    The cheating
8.    The hypocrisy
9.    The deceit/deceived

Do we/must we forgive?
How easy is it to forgive?
Have you found it unforgiveable to forgive?
Because the hurt is too deep
The person(s) concerned has shattered your faith and belief in them. Leaving you with thoughts that who and what to believe!
Yet how do we move along with our lives with a pitfall of anger, tears and the beginning of our childhood fears emerging, the emergence of feeling like a fool/idiot to have been taken on a journey of deceit, lies and hypocrisy.
What do we do?
Personally I’ve been there/here and I’m still learning to forgive what has happened, and I have turned to the scriptures below from my Bible to help me, guide me, inspire me and I surely hope that they will help you also to forgive with LOVE

Isaiah 55: 6 – 7 God’s Offer of Mercy. Turn to the Lord and pray to him, now that he is near. Let the wicked leave their of life and change their way of thinking. Let them turn to the Lord, our God; he is merciful and quick to forgive.
Psalm 51:17 My sacrifice is a humble spirit, O God; you will not reject a humble and repentant heart.
Psalm 86:4 – 5 A prayer for Help. Make your servants glad, O Lord, because my prayers go up to you. You are good to us and forgiving, full of constant love for all who pray to you.
Psalm 103: 8 – 12 The Love of God. The Lord is merciful and loving, slow to become angry and full of constant love. He does not keep on rebuking; he is not angry for ever. He does not punish us as we deserve or repay us according to our sins and wrongs. As high as the sky is above the earth, so great is his love for those who honour him. As far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our sins from us.
Isaiah 1:18 God Reprimands His People. The Lord says “Now, let’s settle the matter. You are stained red with sin, but I will wash you as clean as snow. Although your stains are deep red, you will be as white as wool.”
Matthew 11:28 – 30 Come to Me and Rest. Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads and I will give you rest. Take my yoke and put it on you, and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in spirit; and you will find rest. For the yoke I will give you is easy, and the load I will put on you is light.
Luke 7:47 – 48 Jesus at the Home of Simon the Pharisee. I tell you, then, the great love she has shown proves that her many sins have been forgiven. But whoever has been forgiven little shows only a little love. Then Jesus said to the woman “Your sins are forgiven.”
Luke 23:43 Jesus is Crucified. Jesus said to him “I promise you that today you will be in Paradise with me”
John 4:13 – 14 Jesus and the Samaritan Woman. Jesus answered “Whoever drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring which will provide him with life-giving water and give him eternal life.”
Acts 10:42 – 43 Peter’s Speech. And he commanded us to preach the gospel to the people and to testify that he is the one person God has appointed judge of the living and the dead. All the prophets spoke about him saying that everyone who believes in him will have his sins forgiven through the power of his name.
2 Corinthians 5: 18 – 19 Friendship with God through Christ. All this is done by God, who through Christ changed us from enemies into his friends and gave us the task of making others his friends also. Our message is that God was making all mankind his friends through Christ. God did not keep account of their sins, and he has given us the message which tells how he makes them his friends.
Ephesians 1:7 – 10 Spiritual Blessings in Christ. For by the sacrificial death of Christ we are set free, that is, our sins are forgiven. How great is the grace of God, which he gave to us in such large measure! In all his wisdom and insight God did what he had purposed and made known to us the secret plan he had already decided to complete by means of Christ. The plan which God will complete when the time is right is to bring all creation together, everything in heaven and on earth, with Christ as head.
Colossians 1:13 – 14 Prayer of Thanksgiving. He rescued us from the power of darkness and brought us safe into the kingdom of his dear Son, by whom we are set free, that is, our sins are forgiven.
Matthew 6:14 Teaching about Prayer. “If you forgive others the wrong they have done to you, your Father in heaven will also forgive you”
1 Corinthians 13:4 – 7 Love. Love is patient and kind; it is not jealous or conceited or proud; love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable; love does not keep a record or wrongs; love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth. Love never gives up; and its faith, hope, and patience never fail.
2 Corinthians 2:5 – 8 Forgiveness for the Offender. Now, if anyone has made somebody sad, he has not done it to me but to all of you – in part at least. (I say this because I do not want to be too hard on him). It is enough that this person has been punished in this way by most of you. Now however, you should forgive him and encourage him, in order to keep him from being sad as to give up completely. And so I beg you to let him know that you really do love him.
Galatians 6:1 – 2 Bear One Another’s Burdens. My brother, if someone is caught in any kind of wrongdoing, those of you who are spiritual should set him right; but you must do it in a gentle way. And keep an eye on yourself so that you will not be tempted too. Help to carry one another’s burdens and in this way you will obey the law of Christ.
Ephesians 4:31 – 32 The New Life in Christ. Get rid of all bitterness, passion, and anger. No more shouting or insults, no more hateful feelings of any sort. Instead, be kind and tender-hearted to one another, and forgive one another, as God has forgiven you through Christ.
