I WONT ABIDE

I WONT ABIDE
These feelings inside
They’ve torn me apart
Right to this heart
I was there by your side
A constant companion
A lover
A friend
To the bitter end
You were so wrapped up inside
With all that you denied
You rebuffed
You said you had had enough
You spurned
You turned
Said that I repulsed!
The anger
So you persist in being wrapped
Warped in your mind
Your mind full of games
Where you believe you gain
 You’re blinded, blinkered
With your own tortuous
Repugnant
Stagnant
Virtuousness
Righteousness
Yet you remain blameless
Shameless
Of the pitfalls
That befalls
Others in your realm
Over and over again
Where you believe
This is your gain!
Psychologically
And oh so methodically
But I left your side
And here the new story begins
