COLD AS ICE
Shivering, quivering
Trembling, wobbling and weak
The face that you see
Cold as ice
Hoar just like this heart
A mere reflection
Of what you see
Truth, not a lie
Icicles hanging
Like stalagmites
Heavy
Not a thaw in sight
This heart is hardened
Toughened
Roughened
All round the edges
It is like hell has frozen over
This heart and soul
Immobilizing
Every function
Every sense
Every emotion
Agonizingly painful
Stabbing of the heart
Piercing, shooting
Is this what it is all like?
The ending
With no beginning
Cold, cold feeling
Running through this body
Frozen to the bones
I cannot see and end
I cannot pretend
I cannot imagine
Envisage
Visualize
Or conceive
Comprehend
Why you walked away
Leaving me cold
Empty
And all alone
