I See You, But Can You See Me?
From
this eerie, eerie existence
That
I survive only from subsistence
Sustenance
Maintenance
Are
in plenty of supply
The
boggy, soggy and squelchy
Suits
me right down, deep down
It
keeps me adorned, festooned
I
glide deep down
I
slide deep down
Deep
in those depths is a beauty
That
beautifies, mystifies.
Me
completely
I
can reach for the garlands
Garlanded,
surrounded and festooned
Too
The
peacock the show off
The
master of getting to you
He’ll
hide in a certain disguise
Sitting
in wait
Then
he sees you, but you have blinked
The
he hides once more in his disguise
Does
this ring a bell?
We
adorn ourselves to hide away
Shy,
bashful inside
Lacking
the confidence
The
self-esteem
Locking
the real beauty
Way
deep, deep in the depths
The
murkiness
The
madness
The
confusion
Does
anyone love us at all?
I
guess it is only us that can figure that one out!
Once
and for all!
