A FIVE STAR
BOOK REVIEW ON
AFRICAN SAFARI WITH TED AND RAYMOND
WRITTEN BY
RHONDA PATTON
AND ILLUSTRATED BY
CHESTER McDANIEL
From the very
moment that I opened the book I was impressed or should I say very, very impressed
with the presentation, layout of all the illustrations that had been done by
Chester McDaniel excellently drawn from start to finish wonderful artistry Chester.
I also loved the simplicity but also the informative words that accompanied
each illustration, it is so easy to read from a child’s point of view, the key
words are all underlined, and in italics, for example Hyena so that the child or children reading African Safari with Ted and Raymond will
learn that is the animal and how it is spelt at the same time as well as why
they are called hyena. Every page was a
joy to read and every illustration was an exceptional accompaniment to the
text. I also loved the way that the pages had been done in a coloured
background that also to me gave the book more emphasis, whereas if it had been
just a white background I am sure that
would not have worked at all. Children love looking at colours and learning
from colours too, and I know personally that my own children have always chosen
books with pages with a background colour to them.
I cannot praise
this book enough for its educational but fun way of reading and learning
Congratulations Rhonda
a well-deserved 5***** from me
