LIVING LIFE ON THE EDGE

LIVING LIFE ON THE EDGE
Looking out to the horizons threshold
Holding what is so dear, and clear
The rainbows may not be showy
The clouds yet to be clear
The waves a pounding
Pounding like this heart
Never will be part ever again!
We lost each other once, then twice
And possibly thrice
But never ever again!
Our paths had crossed, crossed over bridges
Walked past each other in the street
Oh why did we not meet?
You smiled and I sighed
But we just passed on by
Right down that street!
But now you are here, so near
So dear
The light that has shined on a darkened world
Bring laughter and tears
For many years
