BETRAYAL
What make a person(s) betray another?
1.    Monetary gain through bribery and corruption
2.    Monetary gain through passing on private/confidential conversations
3.    Blackmail – the persons have valuable information, yet they have betrayed and told all
4.    Deceit
5.    Fraudulence
6.    Slyness
7.    Treacherous
8.    Hypocrisy
9.    Deceive
10.                       Stung me! Sting
11.                       Deceiver
12.                       Double dealer
13.                       Chiseller
Recognize it?
14.                       Theft of a person’s character, personality, betrayal to the media
15.                       Private life betrayed
16.                       Family betrayed
17.                       Trust betrayed

How does it make you feel when you have betrayed another?
1.    Happy
2.    Guilty
3.    Chuffed
4.    Rubbing your hands together
5.    Smug
6.    Oh boy now I can go have a spending spree
7.    You’ve done nothing wrong?

SCRIPTURES
Matthew 6: 14-15 (“If you forgive others the wrongs they have done to you, your Father in heaven will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive the wrongs that you have done)
Matthew 24:10 (“Many will give up their faith at that time; they will betray one another, and hate one another.)
Matthew 27: 3-4 (When Judas, the traitor, learnt that Jesus had been condemned, he repented and took back the thirty silver coins to the chief priest and the elders “I have sinned by betraying an innocent man to death he said” “What do we care about that? They answered “That is your business”)
Mark 14: 10 -11 (Then Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve disciples, went off to the chief priests in order to betray Jesus to them. They were pleased to hear what he had to say, and promised to give him money. So Judas started looking for a good chance to hand Jesus over to them)
Luke 22: 3-6 (Then Satan entered Judas Iscariot, who was one of the twelve disciples. So Judas went off and spoke with the chief priests and the officers of the temple guard about how he could betray Jesus to them. They were pleased and offered to pay him money. Judas agreed to it and started looking for a good chance to hand Jesus over to them without the people knowing about it)
Luke 22: 48 (But Jesus said “Judas, is it with a kiss that you betray the Son of Man?”)
John 13:21 Jesus Predicts His Betrayal (After Jesus had said this, he was deeply troubled and declared openly “I am telling you the truth; one of you is going to betray me”)
Psalm 41:9 (Even my best friend, the one I trusted most, the one who shared my food, has turned against me)
