MYSTERIOUS (New Poem)

MYSTERIOUS
Yet very, very serious
Her airs and graces
Make her look not so delirious
All she wants to do is to be loved
Be a lover, be a best friend
Mysterious
Is how she hides herself
Flash backs inflicted upon her
Mysterious
All she wants is to be needed
24/7 365 days a year
Mysterious
All she wants is an angel
Tender and so real
And an angel to make her feel
Delirious
All she needs is to feel exited, elated
Mysterious
Hidden almost from view
Boldness, sadness
Wanting happiness
All she wants is wonderful
Beautiful
So deep, deep inside
She needs to feel so good
Oh those wonderful needs
Mysterious
Oh she is wondering, pondering
How these things work
Work, work!
Can you show me?
Oh that sensual squeeze
Mysterious
Oh she is thinking of you sweet boy
Oh she does not need a toy
With the damn ploy
Oh the silent tears
Oh the silent years
Adorned and idolised
Mysterious
Mysteriously worshiped
Oh she is in tears
Facing the fears
No more years
Alone, alone
She’ll change the silent tears
To real live wire tears
She’ll sob, sob
Alone, alone
Wondering, pondering
Mysteriously
Heavenly
Sometimes you win
Sometime you lose
Yet sometimes you need to hold tight
It’ll be alright
She wants you to believe in her
Believe that the world has torn her
Torn her to shreds
Toe to head
Mysteriously
She’ll find her true love
Where she’ll never be alone
And discard these adorns
The adorns she has worn
Letting the sunshine through
Through and through
Imagining the adoring
Oh the days are looking brighter
Maybe it is time to trust and let it all go
Go from this gloomy existence
Oh mysteriously
In my heart I know this won’t be too long
So throw me a line
A line that I’ll never let go
Oh this could go so, so deep
Oh I cannot sleep
Oh how this is unravelling
The adornments are slipping away
Can you feel the atmosphere?
With a stroke of luck
Instead of stroking lashes so blackened
That no one can see me instead
Unblocking this mental atmosphere
Mysteriously, mysteriously
Magically emphatically

SOFTLY GENTLY (New Poem) image moves

SOFTLY GENTLY
Slowly does it!
This instrument of bliss and joy
Is now back in my possession
After a long, long omission
I’ve missed it with a passion
There is no fashion
It does not hold
Any gold
There is no price, you’re priceless
And here we are as one
Once again
Yet! There is someone missing
Just tell me what is wrong
We wowed
The crowds
Right up to the rafters of all the theatres
Their talking thereafter
Your silence is deafening
Deafening, oh these feelings
We sat together composing
The compositions bound us together
We loved the music we made
The music that was part of our lives
And here I am alone
Alone!
I’d give anything for you to be here
And here I stand with a lonesome tear
The music is strange to me now
Where the music flew like a delicate butterfly
Flowing softly and gently
I need you here, right here
Oh babe, oh babe
Come and tell me what is wrong
Can we make sweet music once again?
I’ve cried and cried
Day after day
Night after night
There is no longer any rhythm and rhyme
The piano plays on and on
Tinkering the ivories and ebonies
Just like you used to!
But there is a familiar sound to them
I turn around and a familiar face smiles
Smiles right back at me!
You’re here, here like you should be
Oh my heart and soul are singing
The strings of my violin are flowing
The musical notes flowing into the atmosphere
Just as it should be
This is where you belong
Now I’m flowing with the rhythm
Silently humming to the music
Oh babe, now the butterfly is on the wing
Flowing, flowing softly and gently
This is my joy, bliss
That I have so, so missed
Oh how I love you babe
This is where we should be
Rapturing, rapturing
The crowds, the audiences
This is what they have missed
This is their rapture, their bliss
And now we finish our performance
The audience stands on their feet
Elation fills the room
We both feel it
We both see it
The exhilaration on our faces
We savor the moment
Never wanting or needing to leave
Who is important to our successes?
But we must leave you all
The euphoria plain to see and feel
Thank you, thank you
As we take our bows
We blow kisses to you all
Thankful and grateful
As I am that you came back to me
Adieu we’ll be back

I'LL KEEP ON DANCING (New Poem)

I’LL KEEP ON DANCING
It takes a lot to keep on pushing through
This world that needs a lot of love
But I’ll keep on dancing
This won’t stop
The rise and fall
Of this dance
Bending and stretching
Twisting, turning and twirling
I’ll never stop dancing
Bringing you out of the darkness
Bringing you out of the starkness
The people that have dragged you down
Bringing on your frown
I’ll keep on dancing for you
And not just the few
Bringing the sweet, sweet love to you
Warming you sweet heart
That has been torn apart
So I’ll keep on dancing
Where there is no rhyme or reason
It remains neutral, neutralised
Where there are no barriers
This loving is built to last
Through all the rises and dives
So for you my sweet, sweet angel
I’ll keep on dancing
Through all the years and years
Yes this is our lucky year
I can feel it, see it
So my sweet honey
Come and sail away with me
Come and dance with me
We can taste the victories
Make our own histories
Memories
Take my hand with yours
Hand in hand
What will be will be
My heart is now in your hand
I’ll keep on dancing with you
I’ll keep on dancing for you
Sail away to distant shores
We’ll stay to the barriers
Holding, holding on so tight
Where it is so, so safe
And we’ll say goodbye, goodbye
Dancing so high
Through the wind and rain
Running down the window pane
Every time we’ll feel ten feet tall
Through the seasons and the fall
Where no one will put us down
All the heads are turning
We sing, we sing
Right out loud
Even the though the wind is blowing
Loving being close to you
We’ll get through the worst
We’ll keep on dancing
We’ll keep on and on glancing
At each other
Never letting others be a bother
You go straight to my soul when you dance
My soul that was once nothing but a glance
Meaningless
So I’ll keep on dancing forever and ever
Just for you!

ALL THE THINGS SHE HAS BEEN (New Poem)

ALL THE THINGS SHE HAS BEEN
Downtrodden
Downhearted
Bearing the load
Down, down that road
The road of sadness
She has seen the worst
Round and round
Up and down
Helter skelter
All that has melt her
The pain and agony
That threw its worst at her
But what has happened since
She is on her own
She looks to the heavens above
That is full of love for her
Her eyes, her eyes
Feeling wiser
Her self-confidence filling her
Arching away the pains
Arching away for the gains
Exerting, exertion, emotions
Emotions filling her
Tears a flowing
It’s easier now
She is making her own decisions
She is saving herself
Learning to forgive herself
There are times she is confused
Now she is feeling amused
No more bemusement
Down in that basement
The darkest of darkest
Oh she is out in the light
Breathing in the fresh air
Oh she has no care
There is no one making her change
She is doing what she feels
Exploding like a fire on fire
Her passion now out in the open
Her passion to dance and dance
Dance day and night
There were times when there was no understanding
Understanding the truth from lies
She was afraid of letting go
Along time ago
Her dreams shattered
All those dreams that mattered
She needed something to believe in
But here she is letting go
Her fiery passion
Her powder canvas
All the colours of the rainbow
There for her to pick and choose
And dance, dance too
Woman to woman
We know what it is all about!
Keeping holding on to love
That love will get a hold on us
Just like the ballerina
Dancing to love
Dancing to a better future
Oh such memories
Oh such new memories
When you look into her eyes
There is such hope
No more saying “nope”
No more saying “this way”
It is now this way
She is going to make it
There is a look of determination
A determined demonstration
She’ll dance to her own flow
And make a determined “have a go”
With her own confidence
Happy, happy, happily

ACROSS THE SMOKEY ROOM (critically acclaimed poem & award winning poem in the category "Love Poems"

ACROSS THE SMOKEY ROOM
I watch your shadowy figure
Trying to figure you out
You sit there with a mind elsewhere
Gazing into space
Without a trace of emotions
You look lost
Your look confused
The sparkle in yours eyes gone
The music in the background playing
A sad, sad love song
You cup your head in your hands
Recognizing the beat
Wracking your brain
Like a runaway train
We’re both alike
Sat here in this Smokey, Smokey bar
Listening to that
Sad, sad love song
A love we both lost
That does not belong
You ask the bartender for a drink
Drinking our sorrows down the sink
You pull a cigarette from its packet
From there beneath your jacket
A jacket a dinner jacket
Looks like a date has gone wrong
Your tie bedraggled
A red wine stain on your shirt
Oh my do I know that score!
Here I sit cigarette in my hand
A martini on the stand
Trying to hide a red wine stain
Down this wondrous dress
He threw it over me
All because of you!
Yes you across this Smokey, Smokey room
Listening to that dam, dam
Sad, sad love song
You have wrecked so many lives
With your lies and rumours
And now it has come back at you
KARMA
But I hope that you’ll learn
Learn that you know how it feels
To lose someone you love and loved
So I will just be a face in the crowd
Passing the night away
Losing track of time
Passing these long, long hours away

OVER THIS LAND

OVER THIS LAND
The wild and ancient land
Roaming free
Across the craggy rocks
And mountains high
Scanning
The landscape near and far
A land so quiet
Nothing making a noise
Except for the
Hawks
Eagles
Buzzards
Hovering on the wind
Silently
That their prey won’t hear them
Stalking
Shadowing
Lurking
Just above the sky line
Disguised
Veiled
Cloaked
Concealed
Never to reveal until the time is perfect
Then they strike at the prey
Nothing gets in their way
The lonesome wolf
Standing strong and proud
This is his land
Where his brothers and sisters
Roamed free
Hounded
Haunted
Frightened to the core
Is it any wonder that they moved to the mountains?
For safety
And security
Free from cruelty
The torture
The pain
The aimless slaughter
Of this wondrous beast
Maybe, just maybe
With time and help
They will roam free
As they did once
