What makes this so?
Flooding everything in its path
Torrent
Deluge
Surge
And overflow
Have we no control?
Can we take control?
Is there any control?
Who’s in control?
The gathering of the stagnant moss
Creeping and crawling
Noon to dusk
Day by day
Sluggish
Heavy
Thick
Dense
Pounding
Thundering
Like a heavy, heavy drum
Ceaseless
Endless
Down, down
Drowning
With no control
