Only a Chick

But not a chick flick

I am only small

But

Huge on the inside

We that’s what I think

Now mother is calling

I’m trying

To flap these wings

But they aren’t doing

A thing

Now this makes

Me angry

And upset

Cos other birds

Are flying

And doing their thing

With their wings

Now what is the next step?

Oh mum give me a break

I’m trying

Everything

I’m giving up

And do this walking lark

Instead

And an early night

In bed

Rest this weary

Chick instead
